The process of Home Remodeling has significantly changed during and since the pandemic. There are many factors to consider, but the main one is the cost of renovation.
As of right now, the cost of home renovation has increased up to 30% higher than pre-pandemic times and is expected to continue to increase in the near future.
The main reason for the pricing increase is due to balancing the costs of shipping raw materials like glass, lumber, and granite/quartz/marble slabs.
Another price increase to notice is the cost of solvents. Sherwin-Williams, our main supplier of paint, stains, lacquer, and paint supplies, has added an unexpected 4% surcharge on top of the cost of materials, which is in effect until December 31, 2021.
Many other companies are adding these sneaky surcharges and higher delivery fees. So if you have a remodeling project in mind, we highly recommend for you to plan and schedule your project sooner than later, since some materials prices will continue to rise for an indefinite period of time.
For our remodeling process to run smoothly, we request for our clients to have all materials they are responsible to provide before we begin their projects. This prevents us from starting a project and having an unexpected circumstance arise, in which a material takes longer to arrive and we have to drag the project longer than necessary. This guarantees your project will be fully completed from start to finish with no complications of the availability of materials, and no time interruptions as well.
These are the typical examples of materials that our clients are required to provide:
Bathroom Tile
Bathroom Fixtures
Cabinetry Hardware
Kitchen Fixtures
Mirrors
Light Fixtures
Why don't we include these items in our estimates?
Because there's such a wide range of pricing for these material options available. So we prefer for our clients to choose the items that will fit their liking and budget.
If you have any questions about materials, or if you are ready to go ahead and start a project, please don't hesitate to contact us.
